Dinner Party started as an accident because Grace kept offering to cater for her friends. She knew how to cook, her friends knew how to make drinks, and the others knew how to provide genuine hospitality after years in the industry.

Every event with us is planned from scratch. We don’t have set menus to choose from, nor do we have strict rules about what kinds of events we plan or what kind of events we steer clear of. We plan food and cocktails around what’s in season, what we’ve seen and liked recently, and what you think you’re after. We have never served the same dish, or the same drink, at more than one event.

If you’re throwing a ten-person sit-down winter lunch, we might suggest rainbow winter beetroots and their leaves on goats curd paired with raspberry vermouth and tonic. If you approach us for a one-hundred-person house party, we might offer you an oyster bar followed by roaming Welsh rarebit soakers.

Our specialty is intimate home events — our birthdays and housewarming parties have been some of our favourites — but we’ve also offered corporate and business catering for retail stores, real estate showings and film festivals.
